Franklin Avenue Mission
Members of our team, Brandon, his wife, Becky, Brittany, and Allie spent the afternoon cooking and preparing dinner for 250 individuals at the Franklin Avenue Diner. Their time consumed of making cookies, chicken, macaroni and cheese and green beans. After, they created an assembly-line and packaged each of the 250 meals in to-go boxes for those that attended.
The Franklin Avenue Diner is part of the Franklin Avenue Mission and was designed to meet the struggles of malnutrition that stems from systemic poverty. They partner with churches in the greater Flint area to provide scripture, prayer, and well- balanced meals to patrons for free. Men, women, and children are invited to come and gather around the safety of their tables for a meal as a family.
